Bill decided to keep a steelhead trout from the Vermilion River. They haven't moved out of the river and back into Lake Erie just yet. As their stale eggs have been lain the sucker fish will move in and gorge themselves as they too spawn. Then it is smallmouth season, one of my favorite river fish. This year I will be trying a 6 weight floating tip, ANADRO from Scientific Anglers on Cabellas 6 piece 6 weight travel rod. Taking this setup to Utah next week for the Ironman race and try to fish in spare time as I'll be there for a week.
