The wind was tolerable so we took a canoe trip on The Black River to where the mouth opens up into Lake Erie, where Lorain's Jewel of the Port looks out on sentinel and silent. Did a bit of trolling but didn't catch anything. There's a great deal of 'sea weed' which has been floating around for the past couple of weeks. Not familiar with the species. It is more like sea grass and very annoying, to say the least.
